I’m Rachel Fine

dancers, nourishment is non-negotiable

I’m a board‑certified Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and founder of The Healthy Dancer®. I’m also a former professional dancer.
There was a time during my pre-professional training when I struggled with navigating injuries, fatigue, and the confusion of under-fueling. Like many dancers, I believed that following strict food rules was the key to performance.
It left me exhausted, injured, and disconnected from my body.
My Mission
I help dancers develop confidence and clarity around their food choices and behaviors. The goal is to use food as a tool to develop endurance, strength, and resilience while meeting the physical demands of training, rehearsal, and performance.

My Credentials
My journey taught me that personal experience isn’t enough when it comes to nutrition guidance. To support dancers safely and effectively, I pursued rigorous academic training and advanced certifications so I could combine lived insight with an evidence‑based practice:
Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) – performance nutrition expertise for dancers
Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS‑C) – advanced training in eating disorders and disordered eating behaviors
Certified Counselor of Intuitive Eating – training in intuitive eating principles and non-restrictive nutrition guidance
Get Started
Nutrition should feel supportive, not stressful. I work with dancers of all levels, from recreational students to pre-professional and professionals, along with parents and educators. My approach blends evidence-based performance nutrition with a compassionate, non-diet philosophy that supports both fueling needs and mental well-being.
Together, we build practical nutrition strategies that promote long-term health both on and off the stage. With The Healthy Dancer®, you’ll learn how to dismantle the confusion and gain clarity in your dancing.
